Track every selective, additional, and Article 4 licensing scheme due to expire across England and Wales. When a scheme expires, councils must consult and renew - or the licensing requirement ends. Use this page to plan ahead.

When a selective or additional licensing scheme reaches its end date, the council must either renew it (which requires a new public consultation and Secretary of State approval for schemes covering more than 20% of the council area) or let it lapse. If a scheme lapses, landlords in the affected area no longer need a licence - but this can change again if the council introduces a new scheme. Tuxa monitors all active schemes and will alert you if the status of any property you are tracking changes.
